If you took a the Airport buss to Amman then a taxi to the Dead Sea it would nearly cost the same.

You can not actually swim in the Dead Sea it is so salty and you need to get in the water backwards so you will not splash your eyes.
Putting Mud is a great idea for your skin and fun photos.
But please do not waste water by trying to shower it of under the shower please go back in the sea let it go back to Nature then when it is mostly out take a clean water shower.
